The Pepecoin network, day by day

A robot records the block height, the supply and how many addresses hold PEP every day. These are its numbers, back to February 2024.

Addresses holding PEP

Addresses with a balance above zero, one point a week until September 2025 and one a day since. Hover or tap the chart to read a date.

Blocks per day, by month

Pepecoin aims for a block every 60 seconds, which is 1,440 a day. In March and April 2024, before merged mining started at block 42,000 in May, a block took 8 to 13 minutes on average. Since June 2024 the pace has stayed close to the target: one block every 62.6 seconds over the past year. The paler bar is the current month so far.

Where the numbers come from

Every day a GitHub Actions job asks the PepeBlocks explorer and the pepecoinservice.org API for the block height, the supply and the rich list, and saves the result in this site's repository.

Before October 5, 2026 the same figures were rebuilt by replaying the Pepecoin blockchain from its first block, one point a week until September 2025 and one a day after that.

Block time is the time between two snapshots divided by the blocks found in between. Addresses are the ones holding more than zero PEP; one person can use many addresses, and exchanges hold coins for many people.
